Next monday 20 April at the Biologic Records, a record label founded 10 years ago by the dj and producer of Harold Boué aka Abstraxion and run by the own Abstraxion and the belgian producer of DC Salas, arrives their reference number 20, a reference that presents an excellent collaboration between 2 producers of exceptional quality, on the one hand, the owner of the label, the producer of Abstraxion with the Danish producer of Kasper Bjørke, a new project in which this brilliant Danish producer intervenes, after being recently involved in The Mansisters project, a project with the Icelandic origin and resident in Denmark of Jon Atli Helgason aka Sexy Lazer, and now a new collaboration with Abstraxtion, a collaboration that comes after a year ago the same Abstraxion remixed the track ‘Rush’ by Kasper Bjørke feat. Tobias Buch in german imprint of hafendisko (hfn Music), a collaboration that comes in the form of experiment, in which Abstraxion traveled to Copenhagen to meet in person with Kasper Bjørke, and went straight to the studio where for 6 hours were playing together, experiencing, and the next days they locked up at the Red Bull Studio in Copenhagen accompanied by old machines like the Doepfer modular synthesizer, a vintage space echo, or a big SSL among other older machines, to in some sessions relentlessly create this ‘Origami EP’ with 3 compositions outputs from this unstoppable session.
Under the ‘Origami EP’, the traditional Japanese art consisting of bending of papers to get figures of different shapes, Abstraxion & Kasper Bjørke used those old machines and their love for them to create and develop these compositions, an experiment, and opening this new EP in collaboration with more than 6 minutes of ‘Alkany’, a composition with chirps and compelling electronic percussions, moving constantly in the middle of the darkness, slowly but surely, hypnotic, excellent track; ‘Origami’ presents a darker, more raw composition with the analogue developing these progressions of hard-hitting techno, modulations and strange voices indecipherable and mysterious; and completing the EP with the most atmospheric and deep of ‘First Time We Met’, with a fine and more domesticated sound than the previous, with a result of 7 magical minutes for a delicious cosmic trip.
