The label based in Madrid of Play Pal Music, run and founded in 2012 by the Dj and producer of Teniente Castillo today publishes the reference number 7 on the label with the third volume of the series of compiled called ‘Pals’, a new reference in this label that apart from the compiled albums, 3 at the moment, has released EPs from the Italian duo of Mushrooms Project and the Argentine producer and resident in Mexico of Thomass Jackson, and in previous editions of ‘Pals’ (Vol 1 and 2) were mainly compiled with edits of songs, and for this new edition of ‘Pals’ presents a collection of 12 originals exclusive tracks, 13 artists located mainly in Europe, thus we find in this new compiled the British Duncan Gray (owner of Tici Taci); the French duo of Club Bizarre formed by Philippe Binda and Sam Berdah (Days Of Being Wild); the Mexican duo of Sequencers, formed by Gilberto Cornejo & Daniel Cornejo (Electrique Music); the French duo of VoX LoW, formed by Benoit Raymond & Jean Christophe Couderc (Astro Lab Recordings, Correspondant); from Marseille with Did Virgo (La dame Noir Records); the colaboration between the owner of the label, Teniente Castillo with the Argentine producer and resident in Mexico of Thomass Jackson (Gomma), the Irish duo of Future Bones, formed by Leo Pearson & Stephen Mulhall (Tici Taci); Slo Mo Chan; from Badajoz with The Modernphase, one of the members of Gameboyz; from Budapest with Grabo’sky aka István Szilágyi (SpaceWalker Recordings); the Madrid duo of Los Bikini, formed by Bengo & iFunken; and from London with William Earl (Nein Records).
This ‘Pals 3’ from Play Pal Music opens with Duncan Gray aka Mr Cogs and his 8 minutes of ‘Custom Job’, with their characteristic slow tempo, constant, chug sound, a trip into cosmic space atmospheres; the duo of Club Bizarre comes to a more galactic trip with 9 minutes of ‘Shakedown’, slightly acid-chug, analog and epic moments; the duo of Sequencers leads us to a mysterious and dark galaxy with ‘Meccanica futuristic’, sounds raw and forceful; more Kraut-psychedelic moment with VoX LoW and the 8 minutes enigmatics of ‘Galactic Pot Healer’, with these bright guitars and hypnotic bass; Did Virgo with ‘Cosmic’ leads us to another trip through outer space, hypnotic trip; the collaboration of Teniente Castillo & Thomass Jackson gives as a result ‘No Wifi At The Attic’ with a dark and mysterious atmosphere, with ghostly voices and a steady pace; the Future Bones duo with 9 minutes of ‘Far From Grace’, with the analogue launching hypnotic sounds, with a very cosmic development and an epic final part with guitars; Slo Mo Chan with very slow tempo in ‘Dragonfly’, with a strong bassline fused with Oriental arrangements; The Modernphase goes up the rhythm with ‘Beauty Place’, a frantic, wild rhythm; Grabo’sky introduces us with ‘Silent But Deadly’ to a fusion of elements more folk/traditional with a strong bassline, hypnotic and magical cut; the duo of Los Bikini with ‘Round One’ lead us to those dark and hypnotic areas, energetic cut; and completing the compilation with William Earl with ‘Gold Lily’ and hypnotic, blunt 8-minute.
