Broken Arrows – So Few Truths EP [Giallo Disco Records] (2015)

Broken Arrows is the London duo formed by Bill Ambrose and Spruxx, two lovers sounds like the classic EBM and Synth Wave whose passion for collecting synths and other analog machines has no limits and has strongly helped to consolidate this musical project.

“So Few Truths” is the name of the new EP that the duo have released under license of the Giallo Disco records, the label owned by Antoni Maoivvi and Vercetti Technicolor. This time, the dominant musical style away a bit of the Horror Disco music so characteristic for this label to approach sounds more cold and machine whith influences from industrial techno.

Opening this new EP with the homonym cut “So Few Truths”, that begins with a heartbreaking force. Dyes of classic EBM spiced by a drops of industiral techno, mechanical and calculating.

“Release The Pressure” if is closer to the soundtrack for a horror film. Those moving and pulsating synths that spit chords decadent and shady, that catch us quickly and draw spirals in the air.

We continue with the rhythms EBM blatantly overlooking the dancefloor. “Wold of Balcorne Street” with its mechanical bassline and some acid splash engulfs you to the first listen.

Finally we come with the remix from Mr Vincent Koreman aka Drvg Cvltvre, takes place on the main track. No Wave structures enough experimentals along with that minimalist and industrial character of agoraphobic and oppressive, the characteristic sound in his productions.

“So Few Truths EP” was released on March 30 in the digitall edition and soon will do so in limited vinyl Edition. The work has been mastered by Phelan Kane and the artwork was done by Eric Lee.
