Cardini & Shaw – The Ballroom [Correspondant CORRESPONDANT 27] (2014)

Recently this new duo formed by 2 experienced producers like Jennifer Cardini and David Shaw, Cardini & Shaw, who debuted with an excellent remix free download for SR Krebs, and now comes their eagerly awaited debut EP on the label of Correspondant (run by Jennifer Cardini), 3 tracks, 3 excellent tracks in which demonstrate the high quality of these two producers, both in composing and producing, an EP that definitely sounds a lot this summer, 2 producers over 10 years ago that know and had not yet worked together and they say that the starting point of this project was with the documentary directed by Jennie Livingston of ‘Paris is Burning’ and last October gathered in studies of Red Bull in Paris to start this new project , opening this fantastic EP with ‘In The Ballroom ‘ with a sound very electro pop with influences from the 80s, forceful and slow, dark and catchy , with voices that trap us in electronic melodies; more to the dancefloor, and more dark electronic on ‘Pepper Labeija’ with some effects on the sung parts that give a touch of mystery and closing with the brilliant ‘Keep Me Hanging’, a track that can be converted a classic, an hymn, with all the ingredients for success, dance, epic, excellent vocal, magical track. Killer EP, highly recommended.
