Crimea X – Yev / Essential [Hell Yeah Recordings] (2013)

It’s been more than two years from the debut album of italian duo Crimea X (DJ Rocca and Jukka Reverberi) with that wonderful and brilliant album ‘Prospective’ for the Italian label Hell Yeah Recordings, and next March will release its second album that will be called ‘Another’ (set to be one of the great albums of the 2013), which was just released now the first preview of it on 12 “Yev / Essential”, for now only on vinyl, and February 6 on its digital version, with 2 (1 more new song on vinyl edition), three new wonders, 3 pearls, and you can see the maturity of this duo, incorporating new instruments and a brilliant production thereof, ‘Yev’, the opening track on the EP, a marvel, with touches disco and cosmic space-epic result, perfect synthesizers, a percussion that trap us and those guitars with funky touches in the background, everything for a great song. In ‘Essential’ they create a very special atmosphere, a more experimental musical layers (almost almost like water droplets) with synthesizers (Dj Rocca is a master with synthesizers) and a magical voice that captivates us, another wonder of this great duo. exclusively on vinyl, the song of ‘I Feel Russian’ in which synthesizers-machines come alive and put in command of the track, with a spectacular walking under the track and the piano and wind instruments and voice, magical composition. And to go with these release, the great The Time and Space Machine (Richard Norris) is responsible for remixing the song ‘Essential’, remix and instrumental version (exclusive to the digital version) with a more electronic, captivating, dark. great job by Richard Norris….. Amazing release. Highly recomended.
