Gemini Brothers – Lost Babylon [Night Noise] (2016)

FRom Bucharest The Gemini Bros (Ionut & Razvan) again show their cards to make us dance and sweat on the dance floor again. This time appearing on the Night Noise label based in Amsterdam, which continues to offer refreshing music and inventiveness, this time the Romanians come accompanied by remixes from Moscoman, In Flagranti and Daniel Kyo.

Since first heard these two brothers I was clear that its brand new mix between Disco/Acid, which has led them to labels as cool as Bearfunk, ISM Records and always count with the support of the footballer Andrew Weatherall, with a nod to the culture of their country by introducing that sound as unique in their productions, was something that would make them stand out within this smoke-filled scene.

The first cut and original name “Lost Babylon” is a theme where to patent his flowery sound, where the dark disc with those arps that ride to infinity and beyond. From the first minute of the track don’t stop spitting cosmic sounds and melodies, synthesized in stale way as only they know how to do. A great cut signed by these two great artists.

The second cut is signed for the remix of one of the artists most in the mouth of this last year, Moscoman, a native of Tel Aviv, but with headquarters in Berlin. His Court show more layers than a track of Lindström, all very well maintained to generate those triposas melodies and these synthesized saws that sound techno of Axis, if yes, how well you can read, this sounds very Mills but with a small dose of ketamine. Another well produced cut by the pattern of disk Halal.

The third cut comes signed by the celebrated duo In Flagranti, managed with a production more than excellent and perfect for the dance floor, an injection of track (which not was missing from the original), rounding the track and turning it into a hit. A track made for the enjoyment of the dancers, where psychedelia mingles with the forcefulness of the sound to which we are accustomed these two large producers. A wild remix full of colorful and great chords, filled with that sound so similar and cosmic well sweetened, to make us travel direct to another dimension

Last but not least is the remix of Spanish talent Daniel Kyo aka Daniel Pérez Cuesta, an artist that debuted in 2008 and that after passing through different small seals, arrived in 2012 to most prestigious labels such as Poker Flat Recordings, Moodmusic, Lovemonk or Drumpoet Community, being this 2015 a year that showed great creativity as well showed it its Eps for labels such as Days Of Being Wild (with remixes (of Headman aka Robi Insinna) or Nein Records (with remixes by Antoni Maiovvi, DC rooms and Dimitri Veimar). This time it performed a remix with a deep, sound space, with a clear turn to techno, where thick synths, great chords and a bass drum with a lot more punch than the previous ones, you are direct attack track.
