Bulletdodge Records releases remixes of “It Goes” by Michael Greig and Gareth Whitehead in July by Nirvana bassist Krist Novoseli’s band Giants in the Trees.

Giants in the Trees are a band from the northwest of rural Wahkiakum County with definite connections to Seattle music. The band consisted of former Nirvana bassist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Krist Novoseli (who plays bass and accordion), Jillian Raye (Vocal, Bass and Banjo), Erik Friend (Percussion) and Ray Prestegard (Guitars). Bulletdodge founder Gareth Whitehead, who founded the label in 2007, has a wealth of experience in the electronic music scene and teams up with label signer Michael Greig to release two stunning remixes of the original.

The pair previously worked on a track titled “About Time” as part of the collaborative album project The Brood and it was subsequently remixed by 808 State. The “Transitional Remix” is a resonant low cut that adds hypnotic pads and crunchy effects over bright vocals, while “Distillation Remix” focuses on cosmic energy and wave-inspired atmospheres. Giant In The Trees ‘It Goes Remix’ is out now.

His latest work is designed with an overwhelming narrative. Through solid arrangements and solid programming, this album becomes a vehicle for reverential music that manages to spill out enough of the artist’s own ideas to shake off the high era. allowing it to exist in its own right as credible.

The result is an EP that deserves attention from beginning to end.

Altogether, this EP is as experimental as it is intense and addictive, taking over oneself like a sweet poison, while progressively transporting us, as few producers with a certain fluidity are willing to do. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know that this album is testimony to a turbulent and uncertain present, which will remain in our memory forever. For records like this, we can continue to fight for a better future.
