Heretic – Trite Progression EP [Nein Records] (2015)

1

At the beginning of the 2014, the British producer of Timothy Clerkin, half of the brilliant duo of Eskimo Twins, began his solo project called Heretic, a project that debuted on the label of Days Of being Wild and quickly reached his second EP, this time for the label of Abode and that same summer another EP for the label of Relish Recordings, arriving this past summer to the British label of Nein Records (run by Tronik Youth) with ‘Pollux EP’ (with remixes by Andreww Weatherall, Hardway Bros, Antoni Maiovvi and Front De Cadeaux), and Heretic signed remixes for artists such as Dark Strands (Nein Records), The Sonic Emporium (Blindetonation Records), Pete Callard (Det Sync) or Jori Hulkkonen (My Favorite Robot Records), and another recent EP for the label of the Beachcoma Recordings with the collaboration with the debut of the duo’s Buran, and now returns to the label Nein Records with ‘Trite Progression EP’, a new example of the great moment of good form of this producer, his creativity, a new cut that is complemented with 2 remixes from 2 prestigious producers, first with the producer with Canadian origin of Fairmont aka Jake Fairley, the veteran artist with albums for labels as Traum Schallplatten, Border Community or My Favorite Robot Records and a long list of EPs in his 15 years as a producer; the second remix, is signed by another prestigious producer, the british Matt Walsh, owner of Clouded Vision Recordings.

This second EP of Heretic for Nein Records opens with the original mix of ‘Trite Progression’, a cut that develops at a slow tempo, with dark and epic atmospheres, sounds more techno fused with Oriental touches, a brilliant cut to make as the dancefloor delight, hypnotizing the audience and take them to a heavenly trip.

For remixes, first with the master of Fairmont, increases the hypnotism of the original, and gives a sound more focused approach to the club, with a strong bassline and some magic and sharp galactic synthesizers accompanying us on the trip, excellent remix. For his part, Matt Walsh, takes us into a dark and enigmatic atmospheres, more techno, and with epic moments.
