Landside – Landside Part II EP [Just This] (2015)


The imprint from Milan of Just This (founded and run by the Italian duo of Hunter/Game), at the end of the month of August published the fourth reference on the label, a reference which presented an excellent debut, the Landside project, and which is formed by the collaboration between the Italian duo of Hunter/Game (Emanuele Nicosia & Martino Bertola) with the Iceland duo of and residents between Copenhagen and Reykjavik of Kúra (Fanney Ósk Þorisdottir & Brynjar Bjarnfoss) a debut which was composed of 2 original cuts and remixes from Max Cooper and Benjamin Damage, and now comes the second part of this debut, again with 2 original cuts that are complemented with 3 remixes (one of them as a bonus in the digital edition), first from Hamburg with the duo of Extrawelt (Arne Schaffhausen & Wayan Raabe) who over more than 10 years have gone through labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Traum Schallplatten, Border Community or Darkroom Dubs among many others, and the second remix, from Milan with producer Avatism aka Thomas Feriero, who 2 years ago published his debut album for the label of Vakant.

This second part of the debut of Landside for the imprint of Just This opens with ‘Wasterland’ with the deep and mysterious melodies to which bind you a rhythmic percussion accompanied deep voice that gives you a few atmospheres of magical and dreamy to the composition, the second original cut, ‘Lost Soul’, a female voice singing the dark melodies, strong bassline and crystal sounds to close your eyes and let yourself go for music.

For the remixes, the duo of Extrawelt sign 2 remixes for the cut of ‘Waserland’, first the ‘Remix’ with a remix in which are incorporated abstract sounds and rhythmic strokes to complete a delicious trip through soundscapes, hypnotic and magical, and in the digital edition, is included as a bonus, the rmeix called ‘Fidgety River Remix’, which incorporates a more galloping rhythm full of tension and mystery. For his part, Avatism remix the cut of ‘Lost Soul’, with a high tempo, a sound more techno, with mysterious voices with effects, more than 6 minutes of darkness on the dance floor of the club, intense remix, with an increased tension as it progresses the remix.
