Nancy Whang & Audiojack – Like an Eagle [Gomma Gomma197] (2014)

2 years ago the German imprint of Gomma began a collaboration with the legendary label Casablanca and the corresponding release of EP ‘Casablanca Reworks’, in which several artists from the label collaborated with Peaches for versions of classic songs from Casablanca Catalogue, and now this collection is the first part of this ‘Casablanca Reworks 2’ with a first single of the 4 will feature Nancy Wang (LCD Soundsytem) singing the covers, and for this first single with the collaboration of the duo Audiojack for a comer/re-make of the legendary Dennis Parker (Wade Nichols) (1946-1985) and his hymn ‘Like and Eagle’ (1979) a cover that is presented in 2 version and a remix, the radio edit and extended version over 8 minutes (Free Download via Mixmag) with those disco synths and house drums, and the voice of Nancy singing this classic track, and completing the EP with the remix from 2 Toy Tonics producers such as the duo of Black Loops with Malik Yells re- working completly the cover, with new vocals, more dark, and more closer to the House sound and for sound on a club.
