Next week will be published Vol. 4 of the excellent series of ‘Riviera Disco’ on the Dutch imprint of Bordello A Parigi, the Vinyl Edition, and as in the previous parts and the same label, a 12″ highly recommended, a journey through different countries to bring back 4 tracks of 4 artists with disco music as main element, 4 ways to understand and interpret in their different ways the disco music, a trip on this occasion which begins in Denmark with the duo of Salta & Roma (Mike Salta & Morten Roma) and their composition ‘Cellophane’ with 6 minutes of sounds disco, italo disco, cosmic synthesizers, robotic voices and a catchy rhythm that invites us to fun and enjoy the music, magic composition; from Rotterdam, the producer of Taras Van De Voorde present ‘Lara’s Theme’, a more cinematic composition, hypnotic, hard-hitting drums and synthesizers; from England with (The Real) Clark Kent and his ‘Repeat Repeat’ with 7 minutes of a frenetic pace, dizzying and infernal rhythm, playing to New Order, killer track for the dancefloor and closing this trip in Belgium with Leach aka Steven Sterk and his ‘Daytona’, with all the flavour of the synth from the 80s, the only sung track from the compiled, a pretty way of closing this Vol 4 of Riviera Disco. Great 12″.
