Earlier this year, publish the debut album, one of the best albums of the year, the duo The Asphodells, the union of a veteran, master and myth of Andrew Weatherall with another great producer as Timothy J Fairplay, with the album ‘Ruled By Passion, Destroyed By Lust’ on the label Rotters Golf Club and 12 wonderful compositions and excellent Mugwump remix over 10 delicious minutes, and for the Record Store Day was published on 12″ limited with remixes by Daniel Avery and Wooden Shjips, and then launched the continuation of that album with the remixes album, for which they had very great producers with high quality, mostly belonging to that group-collective called The Axis, producers typically used by Andrew Weatherall studies, and now comes on sale this remix album in 3 different formats, vinyl (8 tracks), CD (10 tracks) and digital edition (11 tracks). Excellent collection of remixes for this amazing album.
From San Francisco, with Group Rhoda and his remix for ‘Another Lonely City’ (not available on vinyl) with those environments relaxed and Barenbaum MaraMara Barenbaum add some vocals like a siren in the case, a really sweet way to start this album, track which also includes the remix of 2 great Italians, the veteran Daniele Baldelli with Dj Rocca, up slightly BPM and a magical guitar and percussion that carry the original track to cosmic-disco sounds; from Belfast, with another geat as Phil Kieran to remix ‘Late Flowering Lust’ original track taking some land somewhat darker; another classic as Justin Robertson aka Deadstock 33s is responsible for one of the highlights of the album, the remix of Beglammered, adding those analog instruments, and one hit and blunt remix, track, which also includes Richard Sen remix of maintaining a touch psychedelic original remix; Black Merlin remixed the track ‘Skwatch’ with his ‘Reel To Reel remix’, with an increased presence of electronics and percussion, with a huge bass; the track ‘Never There’ is remixed by another excellent producer Hardway Bros aka Sean Johnston, with a further demonstration of the sound quality and its staff, dark, galactic and a touch of acid; and published in the 12″ limited, the brilliant remix Daniel Avery for ‘We Are The Axis “(not available on the vinyl edition), track is also the remix of Scott Fraser, another great, with a very dark and touches of 80s, 2 brilliant remixes, and very different from each; and for the track ‘One Minute’s Silence’, 2 remixes very different, and very interesting, on the one hand, from France and resident on London, with the great Ivan Smagghe and Wooden Shjips (only on digitall edition) bringing the sounds of guitars and shoegaze.
