Deep State Recordings welcomes Luccio to the roster for their 19th release. The Miami native features a progressive dream state monster, well suited for the blurry early morning hours.
Luccio is the man behind Florida’s best place, TreeHouse Miami, and shows his deep knowledge of the deepest sounds in his latest release.
The “Peace in Qroo” pairs dubbed vocal phrases and a sense of larger-than-life space with arpeggiated style on synth work. DS019 includes a full vocal mix and a more minimalist instrumental, which remains more true to the 4×4 rhythm.
Can you tell us a little about your experience? Where are you from / how did you get into music?
Hey Guys First off thanks for having me here.
i was born here in Miami but my parents are from Cali, Colombia, i was raised there until i was 10 years old then i moved to Miami to continue my life here.
i was very passionate about music in my earlier years, i felt i love to some CD’s named Dance Factory, where hits from Dj Visage , Sequential one + Many other, then my taste headed to more into today’s modern era, where Tiesto’s Deep Dish, Ferry corsten’s all those guys that we are still fortunate to see in today’s world.
Who have been your main inspirations (both musical and in «life»)? And how have they affected your sound?
So hard to pick. lol so many but i have to obviously praise what Armin van buuren has done. Despite not being so much of a fan of his sound anymore, but both musical & in the business aspect he has conquered it all and built a platform to a lot of DJ’s to walk through it. Even tho my Sound has evolved so much the last 10 years as ive been working a lot on being the to go guy to warm up the room for the headliners i learned to appreciate the progressive sound, before it was so popular like it is in today’s world so being able to open up to a lot of the top Trance acts as made fall in love in what i do & make now these days to As far as in Live i Admire my parents, because they have taught me a lot about live & i think i’ve been very fortunate to have them with me till this day for support or any advice possible.
How would you define your sound?
Progressive House, Melodic house & Techno , Maybe Progressive Trance… LOL its so hard to label your sound when you come from an era that EDM ment Electronic Dance Music where it didn’t matter much because it was just good music , your set would have Breaks, house, progr , techno & trance but you will still be able to fit in Any stage. Now its all labelled by something which your stuck… kinda.
How did you come to work with Deep State?
Been Following the label since day 1, i’ve played with Grum several times already & recently he started to support some of my new music which i was super stoked due to the fact that im a huge Grum supporter. so when i did a special stream i did for the DEEPSTATE Twitch channel. he liked one of my ID Tracks which was Peace in Qroo.
when he asked me for the track and told me he wanted it i was super excited & honored by that so i immediately told him NO! … Jk i was like Absolutely, i was super happy about that & now the track its out so im very pleased & grateful by Grum & Guy for making this happen.
For people that don’t know, can you tell us a little bit about your events at Tree House Miami? what was your best event so far?
I am the Music Director of Treehouse Miami / Founder of Apex Presents, i program 4 Nights at Treehouse, catering to all angles of Electronic Music , i work that 9-5 Monday – Wednesday & Music from Thursday thru the weekend. My best night at Treehouse … tough question i can only remember the most recent one which was this past weekend warming up for Dirty South… such a wonderful crowd.
How are you living the current situation because of COVID? You must have been affected you a lot?
Well its was a tough scenario at the beginning but i am extremely fortunate & Grateful to live in FLORIDA ( which im pretty sure we are in every News channel around the world ) my business was closed for only 7 Months i was able to get helped by the government & when we opened back up it was just Explosion after explosion of shows. i literally would put my Dog with headphones and ppl were just raging to see my dog with headphones, i’ve never seen such energy. so lucky for us in FL we had it pretty pretty Non Existent. how ever those 7 months were very uncertain so meanwhile i was just sitting in the studio & working on myself because i knew when they open back the gates i wanted to be the first one out!
What projects are you working on right now?
I have 3 Originals done one coming out on my label Vertex Recordings on September, the other 2 are pretty much getting it ready to send out to other labels. i am also working on a Remix for a Trance Legend which hopefully it gets approved once its done.

This Upcoming weekend 8/20 ill be playing with Deepstate bossman GRUM at Treehouse Miami then ill be heading to Mexico to play 2 special locations on the 27 & 28 of this month, fast forward besides the club shows around my area im pretty stocked to be playing once again at EDC Orlando & Groove cruise.
