Next up on Como Las Grecas we speak to the Disco heads Noden.
Can you tell us a little about your experience? Where are you from / how did you get into music?
Dave is from Ireland and I’m from Essex; we’ve been making records for about 4 years together by this point. I think we both had similar journeys into electronic music in that we both started out playing in bands and then discovered house music.
Who have been your main inspirations (both musical and in «life»)? And how have they affected your sound?
There’s loads; but one person I have a massive amount of time for James Murphy. I love the way his records sound, and LCD Soundsystem were a big part of my journey into electronic music.
How would you define your sound?

How has your sound evolved so far?
I hope our records are getting a bit more soul in them than our older stuff.
What can you tell us about your last release? What inspired you? What do you want to convey?
We knew we wanted to make a bit of a deeper more laid back record. I heard the sample and the vocal immediately grabbed me. I knew pretty much exactly what I wanted to do with it; so it was a pretty painless process really.
What modern artists are you enjoying?
We’re both really enjoying Alan Dixon’s recent releases.
How are you living the current situation because of COVID? Has your work affected you a lot?
It’s definitely put a dampener on playing out; and that sometimes dictates the type of records you want to make. Hopefully this is the year the pandemic starts to come to an end.
What projects are you working on right now?
Beach Disco Edits, for the third summer of love, or whatever they’re calling it now.
