Sugartin, Stuttgarter Synth Pop Duo with new output on exlove records

The new EP from Sugartin is out. It’s called „Running Away“ and you absolutely should not miss out on the title track. The lovely verse captures your heart and instantly makes you dream of running away. The only thing that’s on you to decide is from what or with whom. The chorus rewards you with a synth hook line you will never forget. The combination of synth sounds, heartbeat drums and the soft, sugary voice of Iris will melt your heart. True to their concept of trilingualism, the EP contains another two treasures. You will fall in love immediately with the French „Amoureuse“. It’s a cover of Daniel’s band „Rework“, that Sugartin took from the legendary LP „Fall right now“ and put into their sugartin. The German „Lied Für Mich“ of course is for everybody, although the title is „Song for me“.

The songs that are recorded on this album show the particular way of understanding Sugartin’s sound, located at the opposite end of what is commercial, what works, what works: what he does is, on the contrary, a kind of unstable magma of pulsations and glows, with melodic traces and blurred textures, pursuing a serene, spiritual, almost ascetic expression. All those languages and influences from which they drew dialogue on this record, creating new, different and highly evolved sound organisms.

The synth melody is a cure for unfulfilled wishes and desires.
This EP really is worth pausing for a moment.
