The Be Your Own label returns and does it with the EP: «In Reach» by the hand of the dj and producer Pjets, who continues to dedicate all his creative resources to making his career as a producer a more complex, subtle and deep musical proposal, covering all possible limits.
Since he followed his instinct and began to produce what he really felt he should do, that is: electronic, downtempo and ambient music, he has not stopped making proposals as interesting as they are unique, which have questioned the trite cliché that is producing nothing out of uniformity in the market.
This EP demonstrates Pjets’ particular way of understanding sound, located at the opposite end of the commercial, the generic, what works: what it does is, on the contrary, a kind of unstable magma of pulsations and radiance, of melodic sketches and blurring of textures, pursuing a calm, spiritual, almost ascetic expression. All those languages ??and influences from which he was nurtured dialogue on this album, creating new, different and highly evolved sound organisms.
«In Reach» is a work full of strings and ambient pads and deep percussions. In the end, together, they end up creating an album where there is a very careful balance between the ambition of their intentions and the greatness of their results, managing to go further, a task that is not easy at all. But the level is up there, and Pjets can be proud of having initialed and reaffirmed his entry into the history of electronic music.
