Rude Audio and Dan Wainwright have combined their talents to deliver ‘Psychedelic Science’, an album released under Zirkus label. This eight-track record takes listeners on an extraordinary journey, blending the introspective with the danceable, in a concoction that is as suited for home listening as it is for club play.
The duo, hailing from South London and North Wales, have drawn upon their backgrounds in electronic dance music to create a piece that has, in the past, caught the attention of renowned artists like Don Letts and Justin Robertson, as well as the late Andrew Weatherall.
The album features a standout cover of Bowie’s ‘Heroes’, with an unforgettable ten-minute psychedelic dub rendition graced by the vocals of counterculture legend, Ken Babbs. The rest of the album sees the duo expertly navigate through dub, culminating in the eighteen-minute exploration of space and sound, ‘Patience Dub (A Prog Odyssey)’.
