Sal Dulu shares new single ‘Full Metal’

Irish producer and multi-instrumentalist Sal Dulu continues to explore new sonic territories with his latest single, «Full Metal,» taken from his forthcoming album Nafuchsia In Fantasy. Known for blending genres with fluidity and experimentation, Dulu once again delivers a track that defies easy categorization, weaving together elements of electronic, jazz, and hip-hop into a complex, immersive soundscape.

«Full Metal» opens with a breezy trip-hop beat that quickly twists into glitchy, fragmented rhythms, creating a sense of unpredictability. This constantly shifting tempo is paired with dreamlike synths that establish an ethereal background. The track plays with textures, switching between the organic warmth of a sampled saxophone and soaring, distant vocals, all of which give «Full Metal» an otherworldly feel.

The song marks a personal milestone for Dulu, composed after a significant injury and surgery to mend his collarbone. The reflective and slightly metallic edge of the song’s production seems to echo this experience, adding a layer of depth and emotion to the track.

«Full Metal» exemplifies Dulu’s signature approach to music: a magpie-like ability to take the best of various genres and reassemble them into something entirely new. The track is intricate, experimental, and rewards multiple listens, as the detailed layering of sounds and glitch effects offers a new discovery each time.

As part of Nafuchsia In Fantasy, releasing on November 15, «Full Metal» fits neatly into Dulu’s evolving style, where he pushes boundaries and toys with structure. If this single is any indication, the album promises to be a fascinating exploration of mood, texture, and rhythm, as Dulu continues to establish himself as a leading figure in the world of avant-garde electronic music.
