On the back of the praise for his debut release ‘Big Talk Big Party’ that made it to the Atwood Magazine’s 25 Best EPs of 2024 with the Editor-in-Chief Mitch Mosk describing it as ‘a smouldering, soul-stirring record of intimate connection and unfiltered vulnerability’, Sydney solo-artist ANT ENOCH revisits one of the highlights – the contemplative, guitar-lead bedroom pop finale ‘Big Party’ – and hands the song over to Bali-based producer narou for a total stylistic makeover reminiscent of the latest tracks by Astrality and Paul Schulze.
Left in the capable hands of a producer renowned for ‘seamlessly stepping into each world of RnB, indie-tinged and moody alt-pop’ (House Music With Love), narou has gone full-on retro with his lavish synthwave chord harmony and transformed the melodically understated original into a slinky dancefloor burner. By doing that, Narou not only amps up the dramatic nostalgia of the song but also invests in the crucial ambiguity of ENOCH’s vocals representing the niggling doubt about major decisions we make in life.

Asked about his first impressions of the song and creative process, narou elaborated as follows:
“I love how the track feels so calm and free-flowing, almost weightless. As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to create a faster, more uptempo version. The vocals captivated me instantly. I wanted the song to feel like a big party, so I crafted an uptempo beat that bursts with energy and fully opens up to set the vibe. I love working on remixes because it feels liberating compared to creating my own material – I tend to overthink less. The minimalism of the original track inspired me to keep things simple, preserving its essence without overproducing it.”

About ANT ENOCH
Sydney solo-artist ANT ENOCH writes anthems for crying on the dance floor. His melodic bedroom pop marries his love for melancholic 1980s dance ballads with the contemporary analogue aesthetics.
For ENOCH, DIY spirit has been there from day one. “I inherited an old upright piano and taught myself to play. Still with no formal clue on how to play it, it’s my favourite instrument to write on.” These early experiments in songwriting led him to study music at University in Sydney and spend most of his degree in Toronto, Canada, playing at tiny clubs along Queen Street West and Southern Ontario.
Fevering from the isolation during pandemic, his self-produced debut EP ‘Big Talk Big Party’ arrived like a tonic laced with vintage Japanese drum machines, deeply personal lyrics, and an ambience of piano, synthesisers and violin. The record was self-produced in a Bankstown mattress factory and finished in Berlin through the European Autumn with Grammy-award winning producer engineer Julia Borelli (RÜFÜS DU SOL, Hayden James, Monolink) and a tight-knit community of female and non-binary collaborators and friends.
Now chasing the summers between Berlin and Bankstown, ENOCH took to the stage this September for his debut headline shows in Berlin and Munich, performing ‘Television’ for the first time, and previewing his unreleased music and endearing stage presence to an enthralled international audience.

Narou (nacido como Nikos Heidinger) es una persona introspectiva. Se escucha atentamente a sí mismo, se vuelve hacia su interior para darse cuenta de lo que le da alegría y satisfacción. Tenemos suerte de que también sea un artista capaz de compartir estas lecciones en su música. Una buena vida, se dio cuenta rápidamente, depende ante todo de con quién pasas tu tiempo.
