Benn Starr “I was always into electronic/ disco since the early Days of Giorgio Mororder and Cerrone”

The producer and dj from New York, who just premiered on the Benn Star Recordings label, tells us a bit about its beginnings and how it started with this of electronics.

1 – ¿When and how did you get your interest in electronic music?
I was always into electronic/ disco since the early Days of Giorgio Mororder and Cerrone

2 – How did you decide to dedicate into production
Listening to producers like Giorgio Moroder Cerrone Larry Levan Frankie Knuckles David Morales Francios Kevorkian Louie Vega Todd Terry Roger Sanchez and a whole bunch of other producers gave the inspiration to do production

3 – How do you assess the trajectory you have had and what were the reasons that led you to start it?

Going to the Paradise Garage and The Loft and Better Days in New York City in the 80’s opened up my soul into music and being a DJ / producer …Thank you Larry, Tee, David and Frankie

4– ¿What was your criterion when producing your last EP? it’s always the dance floor that is what I vision when I’m making a tracks

5 – Could you recommend a set that you are especially proud of, and that we can see on your Soundcloud or on YouTube?

I have most of my sets on Mixcloud. A few of my old sets are on Soundcloud. My most proud sets….. Each of my sets are different it depends on my mood that day but I’m proud of all my sets

6 – What can you tell us about the scene of your city? What would you improve?

Cut the politics out . make the scene like it was in the 70’s 80’ and 90’s. It was so much fun .

7 – Finally, what can you tell us about your present and future projects?

All my projects are about the dancefloor and having fun at clubs festival and very DJ friendly
