Terje Saether – Staying In / Backward Glance [IRM Records IRM027] (2014)

The Norwegian producer Terje Saether reaches the French label IRM Records with 2 new tracks and 4 remixes, opening the EP with ‘Staying In’ a track sung by Malin Pettersen where along the 8 minute mix the melodies that of Terje compose with soft and mellow voice of Malin Pettersen, accompanying the track with 2 remixes, the first with producer Demian, transforming the track, with more hard and strong, dark and powerful aspect, and voices with a effects; and version called ‘Torshovdalen Summery Dub’ with higher tempo than the original, more danceable rhythms; the other track, ‘Backward Glance’ we find an excellent track over 13 minutes in which the develop and grow of the synthesizers are brilliantly, with moments of industrial sounds and others more melodic and environmental in a second layer and accompanying the track, from Berlin with producer Lanny May with an epic and magical remix, and the label manager, Joff Logartz with excellent remixe, highlighting the melodic part.
