How did the underground culture in Saint Petersburg influence the creation and identity of PANDEMIC RAVE?

— St. Petersburg has its own authentic underground culture with a large number of places where techno sounds and where people come who are close to this vibe. PANDEMIC was influenced by the pandemic and strong bans on gatherings. At that time, raves were needed more than ever. Nothing is closer to techno rave than bans and restrictions. Rave is a protest against normality.

In what ways do your events fuse the energy of the neo-rave scene with cyberpunk culture?

— ? special atmosphere is achieved by mixing the visual part of the project with modern techno and electro music. All this is complemented by a special dress code, enhancing the effect.

Can you share some insights into the creative process behind your sophisticated visual designs for each event?

— Of course. Each project is prepared in advance, and the visual part is carefully selected for a specific location. If these are projections, they should be well combined and complement each other with lighting accompaniment. Several specialists and generative graphics are involved in the process.

How do the summer vibes and energetic nature of PRECISION reflect the direction of your label CY4NIX?

— VA releases have seasonal accents, so the summer release is the essence of reflecting the atmospheric and immersive side of the label’s sound.

What is the significance of s?hranz and acid sounds in the second VA release, and how do they enhance the overall experience?

— We didn’t want all the tracks in the collection to sound exactly the same, because music is an expression of the author’s feelings and energy. They are different, that’s the beauty of it.

How do you see PANDEMIC RAVE contributing to the evolution of underground electronic music in the future?

— First of all, this is our favorite thing. We do this because we love music and want to share quality sound with people. We try to make each rave better than the previous one. Time will tell how much we contribute..))

How does the cyberpunk theme influence the artistic and musical curation of your events?

— It affects directly. We look for producers with a sound that expresses our vision of cyberpunk, use references from famous cyberpunk books and films, such as Blade Runner or Johnny Mnemonic. We carefully select the right colors to create the right atmosphere.
