An interview with Fynutzu

Romanian-born, Copenhagen-based DJ and producer Fynutzu has been honing his bass-driven House sounds on labels like G-Mafia and Tiger Records recently before now setting his sights on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music label. We sat down with him to discuss his latest release, his production style, and much more.

Hi Fynutzu! Welcome to Como Las Grecas, how’s your Summer going?

Hello, Como Las Grecas. The summer has been amazing so far. I hope that was the case for you too.

How would you describe your musical style to someone who hasn’t heard your tracks before?

I’d describe my sound as Experimental Tech House. It’s a blend of driving beats, hypnotic percussions, and unexpected elements.

Who influenced you the most in your music career and why?

The EDM peak of 2010-2015, with artists like Hardwell, Skrillex, and Garrix, introduced me to electronic music. Simultaneously, I was immersed in Romanian Popcorn Music, exemplified by Inna’s tracks like «Hot» and «Amazing.» These energetic styles are foundational to my sound. However, it was Fisher’s «Losing It» that truly ignited my passion for music production.

Can you walk us through your typical process of creating a new track, from the initial idea to the final production?

My process is quite organic. I often start with a strong drum groove and bassline, then experiment with different melodies and textures. Inspiration can strike anywhere,

Congratulations on your latest release ‘It’s Like This’ on Adesso Music. Where did your inspiration come from for this track?

Thank you! Stefano Noferini, Joe Vanditti – Trust’ was the initial inspiration, but the track evolved into something different. I wanted to capture the energy and intensity of their percussive style while adding my own twist. The result is a track that’s both familiar and fresh.

How has your sound evolved over the years, and what do you see as the next step in your musical journey?

My sound has definitely matured over the years. I’m constantly exploring new sounds and techniques. I’m excited to revisit some older projects with a fresh perspective. The next step is to continue pushing boundaries and creating music that resonates with people on a deeper level.

Are there any upcoming gigs or releases that your fans should be looking forward to?

Absolutely! I’m playing at Module Copenhagen on July 17th, and I can’t wait to share some new music with the crowd. I’m also working on some exciting new releases that I’m eager to unveil soon.»
