How would you describe your musical style in three words?

Melodic, Driving, Atmospheric.

What initially drew you to music production?

A strong interest in Electronic Music at an early stage of my life and a desire to create music. When I first tried DAWs like Ableton, I was somehow ‘dragged’ into it and became very curious to figure out how everything works, which enabled me to create something from my own artistic perspective.

How do you approach starting a new project?

My creative process can be quite random; there is no defined path. Sometimes I just make an initial beat or loop with some instruments, which evolves into more. Other times, I’m just playing around with a controller keyboard, creating solo acoustic piano riffs, and at some point, something triggers a potential starting idea, and I begin from there.

Looking back on your childhood, what kind of kid were you, and how do you see those traits reflected in your work today?

It’s been a long time since then, but I can say that the most constant traits of mine were curiosity and creativity in all my related fields, whether technical or artistic.

How do you decide when a track is finished?

Deciding when a track is finished is primarily based on a combination of feeling and technical assessment. You know a track is complete when there is nothing more to add or take away from the production. It should be comparable to other similar tracks in the same category, and, from a technical perspective, it should sound great on the most commonly used audio systems, not just studio monitors or headphones.

What’s the most challenging project you’ve ever worked on?

I cannot point to one project; all of them had their own challenges.

Who are your biggest influences in music production?

Most of the artists from melodic styles like Melodic House, Techno, and Progressive always inspire me.

What’s the most meaningful tradition in your family?

I don’t have anything specific to describe here.

What’s the most valuable skill for a music producer to have?

Curiosity and a constant desire to learn.

What’s the next big goal you want to achieve in your career?

My next big goal is to share my musical project with a wider audience and connect with them.

How do you manage feedback and criticism on your work?

I am objectively open, and I try to extract the most useful information if I know it’s a good fit for my project.

If you could create a soundtrack for your life, which three songs would be on it?

«Burned with Desire» by Armin Van Buuren, «Opus» by Eric Prydz, and «Ocean Drive» by Duke Dumont.

Can you share a story about a time when a project didn’t go as planned and how you handled it?

Most projects had some adjustments, but I feel this is normal and part of the creative process.

Everyone has a guilty pleasure—what’s yours?

I enjoy the thrill of spontaneity, especially when it comes to vacations. Sometimes, I love planning a trip on a whim and hitting the road within a couple of hours.

Where do you see your career progressing in the next five years?

In the next five years, I hope to develop my musical project in a way that allows audiences to deeply connect with my musical journey. My goal is to create music that resonates with people and builds a strong, engaged community of listeners.

Sander Wilder’s journey within Electronic Music continues to be distinguished by his relentless curiosity and dedication to his craft.
