Working in perfect harmony, Italy-based producers Fausto Fanizza & Thomas Schwartz have been working together for many years after meeting as neighbours. Finding excellent synergy, and experimenting with many different genres over the years, the pair have recently teamed up to release a remix on Purified Records of Serra 9 & Phoebe’s ‘Rain’. Chatting about the new release and music in general, we caught up with them in an exclusive interview below –
Hey Fausto & Thomas! Welcome to Como Las Grecas. Can you tell us a little about yourselves? Where are you from / how did you get into music?
Sure! We both live in Italy but in two different cities. We met a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Just jokin’!

Who have been your main inspirations (both musical and in «life»)? And how have they affected your sound?
This is a good question, but giving an answer ain’t a piece of cake. We are really talking about a lot of names and genres here. The pioneers of electronic music, New Wave, House & Garage, Trip Hop… you name it! Music has always been part of our life, and this life permeates our music.
How would you define your sound?
Well it’s a little bit hard to define it in few words, but it’s a combination of various styles and sounds developed over the years, which is about 26 so far!
How has your sound evolved so far?
We have produced techno, house, progressive over the last 26 years, so now it’s a sound that contains variousgenres.
You have been releasing on Nora En Pure’s Purified Records. Can you tell us a bit about how this came about?
Well we love her sound, so we sent her some music and we started working together.
Your new remix of Serra 9 & Phoebe’s ‘Rain’ is coming out on Purified Chronicles 2021. What was the inspiration behind this remix?
Simply inspiration… We don’t have a rational explanation to it.
Have you played it out for a crowd? If yes, what was the reaction like?
Not yet!
What other projects are you working on right now?
We have a single coming out on December 24th on Steyoyoke and one on Poesie Musik in early 2022.
