Interview with Bestia Sonus

Como Las Grecas welcomes Bestia Sonus for today’s artist interview, after the recent release we wanted to find out more about them, what makes them tick, and what’s important to them. Read on…

Can you tell us a little about your experience? Where are you from / how did you get into music?
It’s a fun experience )))) I’ve done a lot of different things)))
I was an electrician in a factory, a loader, a salesman in a big company, a business owner, a musician and a composer))
Every step, every sigh, every touch of loved one or the universe – there is always a sound, a melody, a note inside of me )
It is not me who got into music, it was music in me before I was born ))
Maybe because I am Ukrainian – we have very talented and musical people, my mother has always sung beautifully ))

Who have been your main inspirations (both musical and in «life»)? And how have they affected your sound?
Pink Floyd, Piter Gabriel, Jeffersons Airplane, Metallica, the first Rumsstein albums, Linkin Park, The Prodigy, Scrillex, Noisia.
On a separate note Bach and Vivaldi!
They have made and are making me richer.

How would you define your sound?
This is My Music ))) Seriously, is it mine? ))))) Okay, no kidding, I don’t know. I’m not a music critic. I know exactly – my music is sincere by 1000%.
It contains life and death, love and longing for separation, inspirations and sorrows, and necessarily a passion for life and learning.

How has your sound evolved so far? Do you see yourself as part of one style of music?
And it seems to me that it is constantly forming and developing. As I change, the world around me changes. I change the world, the world changes me. We interact with the universe.
If you wake up in the morning next to somebody that you love, you affect each other and make each other happy.
If you are not happy together – and yet you wake up in the same bed, your unhappiness becomes even greater.
Sound is a reflection of the eternal search for self, harmony, the eternal path to development and perfect inspiration.
In a word – I think my sound will be something new every time )))
I can’t stand in one place for long, when there is a whole world around ))

What can you tell us about your last release? What inspired you? What do you want to convey?
In the beginning, it was a track for a school exam… I wasn’t happy with it all the time…
It was the kind of track that had a straight barre, and clear pauses… I was bored like someone else was writing it for me… And I thought, where am I ???? ))))
And I offered my project partners to record good heavy guitars ))
And so it went ))))
As for emotions… Everybody has his own images and pictures. I think you can have passionate sex with this track when the dishes are flying off the table, you can drive a car on a good road at night, you can learn physics, you can party at a good rave-party…
Most importantly, it’s a track that encourages you to LIVE and FEEL.)

What contemporary artists do you enjoy/do you really like? Maybe you can share some lesser-known artists that we don’t know about?
And I’ve already listed them above )) There’s a lot of great stuff going on… the only thing I miss is big concept
albums – where one track is inextricably linked to another and creates a whole narrative))

What projects are you working on right now?
I’m working on a new track for Bestia Sonus and a script for a new music video.)
