Hi Jacob! How are you?
I’m doing great. Keeping myself busy doing what I love.
Congrats on the release of ‘Money Moves’! Can you tell us what was the inspiration behind this release?
The thought process behind this was to create a vibe that was a bit trappy, while keeping my drums and the rhythmic section upbeat.
Can you walk us through your creative process when producing ‘Money Moves’?
I spent a lot of time aligning the drums and bass on this one. I feel the low end works very well with the percussion and creates a nice groovy vibe.
How did you approach incorporating the Latin-infused elements into the House beat of the track?
I chopped up a bunch of conga samples and slowly created my own groove with a bit of trial and error. Along with the congas, there are a couple Reggaeton type of percussion sounds. Mixing these types of elements with a classic hi hat House groove, creates a unique vibe that almost sounds a bit tribally.
Were there any particular challenges you faced during the production of this song? If so, how did you overcome them?
I wouldn’t call it a challenge, but more like a search for vocals that fit the type of vibe the synths and bass carry. I ended up going with vocals from a Trap sound pack. I feel it helped glue everything together and gave it personality.
Can you tell us about any unique production techniques or sonic elements that were added to enhance the overall sound of ‘Money Moves’?
I discovered a plugin from Output called Thermal. It’s a distortion plugin that you can put on anything from vocals, bass, keys, etc. I used this plugin to create a bouncy type of feel to the bass. I’m not sure the exact technical elements of it but for me it really brought the bass to life.
What sets this track apart from your previous releases in terms of production style and approach?
Discovering that new Thermal plugin gave me a new approach to my bass, but I will definitely start using it on other elements in my future productions. It really brings out the harmonics and gives the sound more energy.
Is there a specific element or aspect of this production that you’re particularly proud of? Can you share more about how you created it?
I really like how the tone of the congas match the tone of the bass. Especially with the distortion technique I used on the bass. You can really feel the track.
With each release, you continue to captivate listeners with your unique style. How do you feel ‘Money Moves’ showcases your growth as an artist and pushes the boundaries of your sound?
I’m really proud of how this record came out. I feel my sound is catching on with more listeners with every release. I love receiving messages from fans that respect my craft and the hard work that I put into it. With every release comes more experience that I carry on to my next record.
What do you hope listeners will take away from this release when they hear it?

Can you give us a sneak peek into any upcoming projects or collaborations that we can expect from you following this release?
Currently, I’m putting together a remix for a Reggaeton track that my friend had done. I’m going to speed it up and put my own twist to it.
